Meet Dr. Bennett
Dr. Sonia Bennett is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, the expert in face, mouth and jaw surgery. She performs every surgery at Glacial Sands OMS, and she does it right here in the community she calls home.
Specialist training, hospital based
An oral and maxillofacial surgeon trains for years in a hospital-based residency after dental school, in surgery of the face, mouth, and jaws, and in anesthesia. That training is the foundation of Dr. Bennett’s practice: surgical care at a specialist’s level, with sedation and anesthesia matched to each patient and each case.
Experience you can count
Dr. Bennett has completed over 2,000 successful full arch cases, and placed more than 12,000 implants, and counting. She was the first female oral and maxillofacial surgeon to practice in Northwest Indiana. From 2019 to 2024 she also served as a surgeon for ClearChoice implant centers in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan, including Chicago, Indianapolis, Grand Rapids, and Detroit-Southfield. She also receives the complicated cases, and the redos, from across the region. That depth of experience is why patients who were told implants were not possible for them come here for a second look.
